چکیده
A model for energy, pressure and flow velocity distributions at the beginning of ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions is presented, which can be used as an initial condition for hydrodynamic calculations. Our model takes into account baryon recoil for both target and projectile, arising from the acceleration of partons in an effective field, F µν , produced in the collision. The typical field strength (string tension) for RHIC energies is about 5−12 GeV /f m, what allows us to talk about " string ropes ". The results show that a QGP forms a tilted disk, such that the direction of the largest pressure gradient stays in the reaction plane, but deviates from both the beam and the usual transverse flow directions. Such initial conditions may lead to the creation of " antiflow " or " third flow component " [17].

Modeling Magnetic Field in Heavy ion Collisions Using Two Different Nuclear Charge Density Distributions
By studying the properties of matter during heavy-ion collisions, a better understanding of the Quark-Gluon plasma is possible. One of the main areas of this study is the calculation of the magnetic field, particularly how the values of conductivity affects this field and how the field strength changes with proper time. In matching the theoretical calculations with results obtained in lab, two diffe...
متن کاملMultiplicity and transverse energy of produced gluon in relativistic heavy ion collision
We present a simple gluon production picture which is based on the McLerran-Venugopalan model and gluon BFKL evolution in relativistic heavy ion collision. Results for the multiplicity and transverse energy distribution in both the central and forward rapidity regions for gluon production in early stages of heavy ion collisions at the LHC are given. Finally, we provide a general qualitative dis...
متن کاملFrom Glasma to Quark Gluon Plasma in heavy ion collisions
When two sheets of Color Glass Condensate collide in a high energy heavy ion collision, they form matter with very high energy densities called the Glasma. We describe how this matter is formed, its remarkable properties and its relevance for understanding thermalization of the Quark Gluon Plasma in heavy ion collisions. Long range rapidity correlations contained in the near side ridge measured...
متن کاملA Survey of Multiplicity Fluctuations in PHENIX
The PHENIX Experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider has made measurements of event-by-event fluctuations in the charged particle multiplicity as a function of collision energy, centrality, collision species, and transverse momentum in heavy ion collisions. The results of these measurements will be reviewed and discussed.
متن کاملEffect of Induced Dipole-Induced Dipole Potential and the Size of Colliding Particles on Ion-Quadrupolar Molecule Collision Rate Constants
Classical trajectory (Monte Carlo) calculation is used to calculate collision rate constants of ion-quadrupolar molecule interactions for the H¯+C2H2 system. The method presented here takes into account the effect of the induced dipole-induced dipole potential on ion-quadrupolar molecule collision rate constants. It is also assumed that the colliding particles have a d...
متن کاملCoherent gluon production in very-high-energy heavy-ion collisions.
The early stages of a relativistic heavy-ion collision are examined in the framework of an effective classical SU(3) Yang-Mills theory in the transverse plane. We compute the initial energy and number distributions, per unit rapidity, at midrapidity, of gluons produced in high-energy heavy-ion collisions. We discuss the phenomenological implications of our results in light of the recent Relativ...
